Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 29, 2013
The week of June 23 - June 29 has been declared the seventeenth annual "National Mosquito Control Awareness Week" by the American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA). The AMCA, an international organization of nearly 2,000 public health professionals, has been dedicated to preserving the public’s health and well-being through safe, environmentally sound mosquito control programs since 1935. During "Mosquito Week" MosquitoNix Atlanta and AMCA’s goal is to educate the general public about the significance of mosquitos in their daily lives and the important service provided by mosquito control workers, like MosquitoNix throughout the United States.
"MosquitoNix is getting a jumpstart on the West Nile Virus as the warm Atlanta weather gives the blood thirsty insects a chance to breed and spread disease. July, August, and September are when mosquito populations are at their peak so it’s important to get the word out to protect the people, kids and pets in our communities," says President David Touwsma. "We have been distributing free natural repellant across the city at festivals and home shows to assist and participate in as much education with parents and children to raise the awareness."
Founded in 2003, MosquitoNix is a national leader in customized automated misting systems for mosquito prevention for residential and business locations offering a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. MosquitoNix also offers ongoing treatment and prevention programs, through a proprietary 3 step process called QuickNix.
