Pocono Mountains, PA (PRWEB) June 28, 2013

Skytop Lodge, known as the premiere luxury resort destination in the Pocono Mountains, announces the grand opening of a grass tennis court.

Skytop’s grass court is the only grass court available for play within a 100 mile radius of the resort, making Skytop a sought after destination for this style of court play. The court is now open for use by resort guests and will be featured during the Skytop Lodge annual Fourth of July celebration with a Wimbledon inspired Queen’s Breakfast courtside.

“We are excited to diversify our tennis programming, and fortunate to have the ability to care for a grass court,” stated Skytop Lodge Tennis Pro, Mo Koregaokar. A grass court is one of four types of tennis courts and requires higher maintenance costs than traditional clay courts. Grass courts favor those who employ a serve and volley tactic. Capable grass court players tend to also succeed on hard courts. Skytop Lodge offers both grass & clay courts.

Resort guests have access to use of the grass court. Lessons can be arranged through Skytop Lodge’s tennis pro, Mo Koregaokar. Koregaokar comes from one of the most prestigious tennis academy's in the country — Chris Evert's Academy in Florida. There, he worked with such prestigious players as Venus and Serena Williams, Andy Roddick and Ytai Abugizer; he also worked at the live-in academy with Bangor's Tasch Tinsley for three years.

The breakfast takes place at 9 am EST on July 4, 5, and 6, 2013, at the Skytop Lodge grass court, and features strawberries with cream. Breakfast is open to all resort guests.

Show Pennsylvania pride in celebration of Independence Day. Fire Works (on July 5th), Blues Music on the South Lawn played by the Pocono Mountains best local musicians, Regional Beer Tastings, sumptuous barbeque featuring a whole pig roast.
