Greenberg Traurig Bolsters its Intellectual Property Practice in Las Vegas with the Addition of Nancy R. Ayala

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added of counsel Nancy Ayala to its Las Vegas office. Ayala’s practice will focus on intellectual property and entertainment matters.

Ayala has extensive experience litigating intellectual property related matters, including copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, trade secrets, and Internet related issues such as domain name disputes. She counsels clients in maintenance, enforcement and defense of intellectual property and entertainment rights and in the identification, selection, clearing, registration, protection, transfer and licensing of such rights. Ayala is experienced registering trademarks and service marks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and litigating trademark and trade dress disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also represents clients in a wide range of complex business litigation in state and federal courts, including contract disputes, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, deceptive and unfair business practices, partnership and corporate governance disputes and dissolution, and employment matters.

Ayala received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and her B.A. from California State University, Los Angeles. She has taught entertainment law classes at the William S. Boyd School of Law, copyright law classes at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and continuing legal education seminars on Internet, Trademark and Intellectual Property law. Additionally, she is actively involved in a number of professional and community organizations, including the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Children’s Attorneys Project, the Latin Chamber of Commerce, and the California and Nevada Bar Associations.
