Economic development programs are not a new idea but Progress Plus is focused upon stimulating new growth in South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights by combining public sector programs with private expertise.

A joint public and private economic development venture, the cities of South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights and the River Heights Chamber of Commerce have been teaming up through an initiative called Progress Plus to further economic development and growth. Progress Plus offers multiple avenues to foster business growth, including real estate services or business assistance programs. Progress Plus has launched a new initiative highlighting unique properties in their service area in an effort to attract new development. The first properties are Argenta Hills, in Inver Grove Heights, mixed used housing and retail development and Bridgepoint Business Park, in South St. Paul, a build to suite office park locating blocks from 494.

“We are excited about the new business developments in our area and look forward to the growth that Argenta Hills and Bridgepoint Business Park are bringing to the River Heights community. When Progress Plus was first created, we envisioned a program through which businesses and developers could quickly and smoothly meet their development and expansion needs,” said Jennifer Gale, President, Progress Plus. “Progress Plus works with developers and local businesses to assess needs and facilitate growth, and our highlighting of local properties is one way in which we are expediting the process of business growth in the River Heights area.”

Argenta Hills, located at the Northwest quadrant of Highway 55 and South Robert Trail, was opened in 2012 as 370,000 square feet of retail oriented space as a part of a housing development in a rapidly growing community featuring 45 new townhomes and 100 new single-family homes. Space is available for lease up to 50,000 square feet.

Bridgepoint Business Park, a 100,000 square foot facility located at 290 Bridgepoint Drive north of 494 near Concord Street, offers build to suit office space for lease. Bridgepoint Business Park, opened in 2011, also features drive in and dock height loading with available outside storage.
