A New Wave of Leadership & Products For First Wave Aerospace

TULSA OK (PRWEB) June 30, 2013

Aerospace parts distributor First Wave Aerospace announced the placement of its new corporate officers to launch the new business strategy for the 21-year-old firm recently purchased by the same executives.

Tony McAnly, President of First Wave Aerospace, announced that his former colleagues at Triumph Group and fellow owners in the take-over of the Tulsa Company have accepted the new positions effectively immediately. McAnly, the former President of Triumph Airborne Structures, named his former Triumph colleagues Tim White as Vice President of Inventory Development; and Glen Hyden, Vice President and General Manager of First Wave Aerospace.

“Having multiple years of experience in various industry segments of the aerospace OEM and Aftermarket combined with common ownership and a common philosophy of operating by the Golden Rule, this team is quite compatible, vested and qualified to lead First Wave Aerospace in a stable New Wave direction for growth and long-term stability.”

Hyden, who has also held sales and administrative management positions at two other Tulsa aerospace Companies in the past, Drake Air and Limco Airepair, said it has been his career dream to again be associated in management with McAnly and White and to have an ownership position in an aerospace firm. Hyden, a Tulsa area resident, will be in charge of day-to-day operations and sales & marketing

White, who began his career in his native Alabama with the former Rohr Industries (now Goodrich), has extensive experience in commercial aircraft Thrust Reversers, Nacelles and other structural parts, is well connected with FAA Repair Stations and aircraft asset management companies. He will be leading the Company’s efforts in developing supply chains with these sources and he also sees his new position as “his calling with his dream team.”

McAnly said these new leadership announcements come within 30 days of the group’s new ownership of the Company and is part of their “100-day-plan” to make First Wave Aerospace a major player worldwide in both commercial aircraft parts distribution and additional aerospace repair management services in the near future. As part of the firm’s continual progress, he was also pleased to announce that First Wave Aerospace successfully completed its ISO 9001:2008 audit this this week “in flying colors” and this was significant industry-wide recognition of the firms high quality standards.

First Wave Aerospace has one of the largest inventories in North America of commercial aerospace parts with 280,000 line items; 6.5 million parts in its warehouse facilities in Tulsa, with the main office at 5440 S. 101st Street E, Avenue. Major new program and product announcements are expected in late summer and early fall.
