The Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC) is pleased to announce that GMS Distribution is expanding its business as a new resident client in the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center. GMS, which produces and sells power distribution products across the US, made the decision to locate in NIIC to help grow their business with new markets and new customers.
GMS made its first power box in October 2008. The power box allows a user to operate higher power devices than can be handled from a standard 115 volt home outlet.
“I created the first power box in reaction to a need in the water restoration market,” said Gerrett Stier, company founder and President. “Our goal was to make a power box that was small, easy to use and lightweight. They have sold well in our initial markets. The Innovation Center is a great choice to help us get to a new level and really grow.”

GMS Distribution’s is working with the Innovation Center to expand its product lines in to new markets including supplying power for: commercial bed bug extermination, party tent rental and music venues.
