MiniTrade.ca, a site where users buy and exchange kids clothing, today officially launched its service across Canada.
Users simply sign-up for free on MiniTrade.ca and from there can either browse for new clothes or clean out their children’s closest and ship their slightly used clothing.
Those wishing to do so can request an empty MiniTrade bag that will be sent directly to their front door free of charge. The bag is to be filled with clean and freshly laundered lightly used-to-new condition children’s clothes that were originally purchased within the last two years.
Once the bag is ready to be shipped MiniTrade will arrange for pick-up and cover the costs of shipping.
MiniTrade staff members sort through the clothes and post them on the site and the sender
is awarded credits for each clothing item that is posted. All clothing on MiniTrade can be
purchased with cash and/or credits.
The site was founded by mother-of-two Isabelle Doucet as her children outgrew their clothes and she was overwhelmed with all of the extra clothing around the house.
“Busy parents today don’t have the time to take pictures and list each individual item up for sale on online classified sites,” said Doucet. “We make it as easy as possible for parents to clean out their old clothes and we help them save money on updated bigger clothing items to fit their growing kids.”
