A “must-do” for thrill seekers, the newly transformed Hades 360 roller coaster is now roaring through Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park in the Wisconsin Dells.

“It was an exciting project to augment the wooden coaster, combining the underground uniqueness of the original Hades with a gravity-defying 360-degree upside-down loop," explains Mike Graham, Rollercoaster Engineer, Gravity Group.

A “must-do” for thrill seekers, the newly transformed Hades 360º roller coaster is now roaring through Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, located in the Wisconsin Dells. Hades 360º is the world’s first 100% wooden roller coaster that features a hair-raising 360-degree barrel roll and the world’s longest underground tunnel. Plus, with speeds up to 70 mph and a 13-story drop, daredevils can experience Hades on wheels unlike ever before.

A new twist on the original “award-winning" Hades that debuted in 2005, Hades 360º now packs a punch straight out of the gate. First, riders board a new train that flies through a series of breath-taking pre-lift hill combinations before descending into an underground tunnel. Riders resurface from Hades’ dark domain to be flipped head-over-heels in the new barrel roll followed by a mind-bending, 110-degree over-banked turn. Next, the coaster “pops” over an airtime-filled hill before revisiting the completely dark underworld ruled by Hades.

“It was an exciting project to augment the wooden coaster, combining the underground uniqueness of the original Hades with a gravity-defying 360-degree upside-down loop. Plus, we created a new state-of-the-art Timberliner roller coaster train to offer Hades 360º riders a much smoother ride—it feels more like riding on a steel coaster,” explains Mike Graham, Rollercoaster Engineer, Gravity Group.

With its unique construction, Hades 360º roller coaster also features:

  •     The world’s longest underground track measuring 1,400 feet underground.
  •     A sharp, 90-degree turn in the dark, underground tunnel.
  •     An impressive incline of 162 feet to the top drop.
  •     Total track length of 4,746 feet.
