It was not only about being the first expense app on the App Store. It was about being able to serve our customers wherever they are.

On this day five years ago, Apple launched the App Store with the first 500 apps. Nexonia Expense Reports was in that very first group of apps available to download.
Building on their expertise with web-based time and expense management solutions, Nexonia realized the need to make these tools mobile even before the App Store was opened to the public. To be able to log and report expenses during a business trip, or track time while working in the the field - this is what Nexonia wanted to provide for its customers.
“It was not only about being the first expense app on the App Store. It was about being able to serve our customers wherever they are,” says Neil Wainwright, CEO of Nexonia. “We have a great engineering team, and they constantly keep our products on the edge of technology development. We’re now at version 8 of our iOS app and have the largest percentage of our mobile users using it. We add capabilities almost every month, and we don’t see that ever stopping.”
Today, most Nexonia users prefer the mobile apps to the web application. They can create, change, submit, approve expenses and even manage multiple accounts with a single login through the mobile app.
Nexonia’s applications are also available on Android and BlackBerry10 devices and coming shortly to Windows Phone, but it all started on the Apple App Store.
