TV Networks Pick Up on ‘Behind the Scenes with Warble Entertainment Agency’

One of the UK’s largest entertainment agencies recently opened their doors and invited customers to step inside and take a look at the day to day running of an entertainment company. Dubbed ‘Behind the Scenes…’, the initial project, which was designed to break down client’s fears of ‘dodgy agents’, has now been picked up by major TV production houses.

Based in Cheshire, Warble Entertainment (http://www.warble-entertainment.com) are renowned for providing band hire and entertainers for weddings and corporate events all over the UK. Company director Matt Warren explains how the ‘Behind the Scenes…’ project came about.

“Through the years, entertainment agencies have done very little to help themselves win a battle of appearing as decent hard working companies. The words ‘shark’ and ‘dodgy’ tend to get banded around quite a lot. When we set Warble up, it was our aim to be honest, transparent and provide a great and simple experience when booking entertainment. But, we still have the problem of being tarred with the same brush by some customers and so we wanted to try and show that we are a very different operation.”

The Warble team decided that the best way forward was to literally open their doors to potential customers and invite them inside the offices to see how the company operates and offer an insight into how they do things.

“We also wanted to tell customers about some of the more humorous experiences we have had over the years. The random acts that have turned up on the doorstep, the strangest customer requests and the original events we have booked entertainment for. One of the customers we were having a chat with couldn’t believe how great some of the stories were and told us that a reality show could quite literally be made from the offices. Little did we know that the customer herself actually works in TV! So, the next thing we knew, the lovely customer (who shall remain nameless) had put the idea forward to her colleagues who loved the idea and came to meet us all for a cuppa and chat!”

With successful shows such as Pawn Stars and Eddie Stobart: Trucks and Trailers all focusing on workplace reality, it may well be the case that Warble Entertainment will be the next in line for the TV treatment.

“Well, we certainly won’t be getting carried away with it all,” says Matt. “We started the project to give customers faith in the ideal that we are a professional company and when they hire a band for a wedding or entertainment for a corporate event they are in safe hands. If opening the doors to a TV crew can further help this cause then we’d be more than happy to be a part of it. But, it isn’t distracting us from the day to day running of the booking agency that’s for sure.”
