Southern fast-casual restaurant concept to open first South Carolina franchise.

Chicken Salad Chick, the nation’s newest, fast-casual restaurant concept, is scheduled to open South Carolina’s first Chicken Salad Chick franchise on August 13, 2013, in Greenville. The restaurant is located in the Augusta Commons Shopping Center at 2222 Augusta Street, Unit #6, Greenville, SC 29605.

The Greenville owners, Julie Beville and Michelle Singleton of SingBev Hospitality, LLC. have been loyal fans of the brand and wanted to bring it to Greenville following on the heels of successful franchise launches in Destin, Florida in July 2013.

“This extraordinary product is sure to be a huge hit with chicken salad lovers in Greenville,” owners Julie and Michelle said. “We look forward to sharing it with the Greenville community starting next week, and then with even more cities throughout the Carolinas and North Georgia in the coming months and years.” The Greenville location is the first of 29 Chicken Salad Chick locations to be opened by SingBev Hospitality, LLC.

Born In Alabama -- The Chicken Salad Chick concept was established in Auburn, Ala., in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. Stacy quickly learned that selling a homemade recipe from her kitchen is against the law, and after being shut down by the health department, she decided to solicit the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant which quickly grew to enormous demand and additional locations. The unique concept offers customers a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience, with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as gourmet soups, flavorful side salads and freshly-baked desserts. Chicken Salad Chick will be developing 54 franchises across the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina, and has plans to expand nationally in the next few years.
