Vicki Lynne Morgan, President - Animal Brands
“I am honored that my nomination has been accepted for the Pet Industry Woman of the Year award. Having devoted 37 years to guiding manufacturers and their channel partners in establishing distribution channels for high quality pet products that enhance the pet parent experience has been challenging, exciting, and personally rewarding.”
Founder and president of the first woman-owned manufacturers’ representative agency in the pet industry, Vicki Lynne Morgan is a candidate for Pet Industry Woman of the Year – an award sponsored by Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN), a leading organization focused on women entrepreneurs in the ever-growing pet industry. Winners will be announced at the Women in the Pet Industry Conference and Awards Show on August 24 in Portland, Oregon.
Little did she know that when she agreed to partner with her neighbor to sell a truckload of dog food -- sight unseen with no knowledge whatsoever of the pet industry -- that it would lead to a 30+ year career in marketing and selling. To this day, no one has ever paid cash for 20 tons of dog food with no customers to buy it! Launched in 1976, Animal Brands is the first woman-owned manufacturers’ representation agency in the pet industry
Ms. Morgan is well-suited for this recognition. She has a longstanding passion and proactive dedication to assisting channel partners in keeping the pet industry ‘alive and well’ and growing. She serves the pet industry as a manufacturers’ representative, a speaker and trainer and a business strategist, consultant, and mentor.
Ms. Morgan has been instrumental in establishing channels of distribution for dozens of well known pet brands. She is a sales professional, Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, consultant, speaker, and trainer. Her innovative, unconventional, and visionary strategic business philosophy has helped emerging entrepreneurs, as well as seasoned business owners, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, to develop, launch, and sustain profitable business opportunities.
Prior to working in the pet industry, Vicki Lynne Morgan was the first woman to be a New Jersey sales professional at Xerox Corporation. Extensive training and field experience gave her the foundations for launching her own business. Since 2001 she has served as a counselor and instructor for the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers where she has helped hundreds of business owners to achieve their goals.
Morgan added, “Congratulations to Women in the Pet Industry Network and founder, Shawna Schuh, for helping women in the pet industry to gain well-deserved recognition for their contributions to this extraordinary industry.”
