Foundation Armor's extensive line of concrete repair products, which were previously only sold to licensed contractors, have been made available to homeowners in conveniently packed Do-It-Yourself kits through FoundationArmor.com.
Foundation Armor manufactures repair products for every type of interior or exterior concrete crack. Which concrete repair method is best depends entirely on the condition, location, and type of concrete crack.
Hydrophobic Polyurethane: Foundation Armor's hydrophobic kits are used a lot in basement waterproofing because they are designed to react with water to permanently repair wet, leaking, and even gushing cracks in concrete walls and floors. Drilling is required but this repair kit is designed to last for the life of the concrete and is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.
Flexible Polyurea: The Armor JFX35 is a flexible polyurea designed to repair expansion joints, control joints, and saw cuts. It will permanently maintain its bond to the concrete while at the same time allowing for required flexibility. The most popular formulation is sold on the website but other formulations are offered directly through Foundation Armor for industrial applications. This type of repair product is designed for dry cracks. If the crack is wet, you want to wait until the crack is completely dry.
More about the JFX35: The Armor JFX-35 Joint Filler is a technologically advanced, self leveling, 100% solids, two component, 1:1 ratio, Polyurea Elastomer joint filler. It is designed for concrete with low to medium thermal cycling. The Armor JFX-35 cures rapidly and consistently in applications ranging from -20ºF to 130ºF. It is tack free in 5 to 15 minutes and applications can be reopened to vehicle or foot traffic in 1 hour.
The Armor JFX-35 is highly flexible, allowing small slab movement, but strong enough to protect the vertical edges of concrete from spalling under extreme loading. It can be used on interior and exterior applications (exterior applications when little joint or crack movement from thermal cycling will occur.)
Rigid Urethane: The Armor FS90 is a rigid urethane designed to repair cracks in concrete floors, driveways, stairs, and other areas where strength is required. Like with the JFX35, the most popular formulation is sold on the website but other formulations are offered directly through Foundation Armor for industrial applications. This type of repair product is designed for dry cracks. If the crack is wet, you want to wait until the crack is completely dry.
More about the FS90: The Armor FS-90 is a rapid set, high strength low viscosity Urethane repair material. This two part, 1:1 system is 100 percent solids and designed for rebuilding and repairing the broken edges in control joints, reparing concrete cracks, filling voids under tile and concrete, and spalled concrete surfaces very quickly. The Armor FS-90 is intended for use in concrete cracks where there is no movement. It is also intended for use in concrete floor cracks, concrete driveway cracks, and more.
The FS-90 repair kit can be used to repair concrete floor cracks and spalls prior to polishing. They will not smudge during the grinding process.
Concrete Sealers: For very small dry cracks, a sealer can be used to strengthen the concrete and prevent further cracks from forming. Visit FoundationArmor.com to learn more about Foundation Armor's extensive line of more than two dozen concrete sealers.
