“In everything we do, we challenge our members to ‘embrace better health.’ That is our priority, to help our members live healthier,” said Michael P. Gallagher, AvMed’s President & CEO.

AvMed unveiled a new logo and tagline to underscore its growth and transformation in an ever changing consumer-centric marketplace. The new look coincides with a retooling of its portfolio for Small Employers and the Individual market.

With a more holistic approach to the consumer health experience, AvMed will build on its long tradition of exemplary service to help members feel more connected and engaged. “In everything we do, we challenge our members to ‘embrace better health.’ That is our priority, to help our members live healthier,” said Michael P. Gallagher, AvMed’s President & CEO.

The old logo had not changed significantly for over a decade. With an already strong brand around the state, the new dynamic and cleaner look communicates AvMed’s efforts to be accessible and member centric.

“Our business is changing and we need to change too. We removed ‘health plans’ from the name because we’re more than just a health plan. We provide our members with a portfolio of health and wellness products, all designed to help them live healthier,” said James M. Repp, AvMed Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

“At the end of the day, we are involved in a highly personal and important part of our members’ lives – their health. It’s all about meeting them on their terms. The circle symbolizes our commitment to help members through the entire health care experience, from wellness and fitness to acute and chronic care,” added Repp. “Working with our provider partners, our goal is to make that interaction as positive and seamless as possible for our members.”

AvMed began in South Florida as Aviation Medicine, to serve the growing airline industry by providing pilots’ physicals. Today, AvMed serves 300,000 Floridians with offices in each of the major metropolitan areas of the state. Major employer clients such as the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County have been partners for decades, a testament to AvMed’s culture of service, which is consistently ranked above statewide peers. Most notably, AvMed was awarded the J.D. Power and Associates Award for “Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in Florida, Two Years in a Row.”*

*AvMed received the highest numerical score among commercial health plans in Florida in the proprietary J.D.
