Nectar Services Corp. Names New Chief Information Officer, Vice President of Product Management, and Vice President of Product Development

Managed Services industry veterans Michael Ciano, Steven Harper and Zachary Rowitsch named to their positions effective August 1, 2013.

Nectar Services Corp™, a leader in the development of network monitoring and management software, today announced it has named Michael Ciano to Chief Information Officer and promoted Steven Harper to Vice President of Product Management and Zachary Rowitsch to Vice President of Product Development.

Michael will be responsible for process improvement, IT strategies, partner enablement, product portfolio and marketing. Michael brings a unique blend of experience to support Nectar’s global channel development and IT requirements and initiatives. As an IT executive leader within global enterprise customers for over 20+ years, Michael helped develop go-to-market strategies, market portfolios and business plans for managing and delivering newly developed managed services offerings.

Earlier in his career, Michael was the Senior Director of Enterprise Network Services and the IT security officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. He was responsible for the development and execution of their infrastructure and security strategic plan to meet HIPAA and other regulatory security requirements. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Network Services at Iron Mountain, responsible for rebuilding the global infrastructure for domestic and international locations. Mike also worked as the interim CIO and director of global network systems for TAC Worldwide Companies, an IT and engineering staffing company. Michael holds a BS in Systems Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology and later graduated from the Babson School of Management.

Steven Harper most recently served as Product Manager at Nectar Services Corp. In his new role, Steven will be responsible for leading vision, definition, and development process for new products, product enhancements, and product redesigns.

Steven honed his skills over 20+ years designing Voice and Data Networking solutions, with ten years at AT&T/Lucent Technologies/Avaya. He held several Specialist titles including: Applications Consultant, Messaging & Voice Response Specialist, Contact Center/CRM Specialist and Regional Messaging Manager. Steven also spent a year at Cisco Systems as a Systems Engineer designing VoIP networks for Tier‐2 Service Providers. Steven holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Zachary Rowitsch most recently served as Senior Platform Architect and Product Development Manager at Nectar Service Corp. In his new role, Zachary will be responsible for development methodology, software lifecycle management, and lead multiple teams in the design, development, and quality assurance of Nectar CMP software. In addition, Zachary will oversee development coding standards, code reviews, and documentation. Zachary holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
