Career Partners International, Twin Cities (CPI Twin Cities) held its annual Summer Networking Event on August 12, 2013. Over 100 people attended the event. Participants included current career transition candidates, alumni, executives, and business partners. The event was held on the Minneapolis Queen, a Paradise Charter Cruise, on the Mississippi River.
The event is an opportunity to emphasize the importance of building relationships and participating actively in CPI Twin Cities’ Career Community by providing support, referrals, and market information to members of CPI’s Career Community. "It was great connecting with alumni who have landed new positions, I had some great conversations, and have a few concrete leads for positions as a result of the networking event," said one candidate currently in transition.
Patricia Berg, CPI Twin Cities’ CEO, said "While job loss is difficult for people, the universal outcome of the process is making meaningful connections that often lead to life-long relationships. Events like this inspire our candidates to actively engage in networking and they provide an opportunity to stay connected and pay it forward once they have landed."
