One of the nation’s leading web-based help desk applications has released a new version of its software.

According to statistics from the US Labor Department, companies large and small lose millions of dollars in productivity each year due to inefficient tools and business solutions, but thanks to a newly released version of Help Desk Premier, its developers say those who use it will experience quicker data entry, a user friendly interface, and more.

Patrick Strahan, director of media and public relations for BrightBox Solutions, said the company is proud to announce the release of Help Desk Premier Version 5, a web-based help desk application that provides a comprehensive customer support solution for businesses and organizations of all sizes.

“The major changes are a revised user interface for the Ticket and Change Request pages,” Strahan said, before adding, “These major interfaces have been streamlined to eliminate the number of tabs (as in “tabbed” interface) and provide quicker data entry for the user and greater customization capabilities.”

Help Desk Premier is user-friendly help desk software that installs easily on-premise, but can also be utilized in a SaaS environment. The revised user interface makes it lighter and faster in either environment.

In addition, Strahan pointed out, the entire Change Management feature has been rewritten to improve workflow and allow companies to carefully manage their approval processes for any IT changes, as well as manage the implementation of those changes.

“The features of Help Desk Premier extend beyond basic ticket management and into customizable ticket escalation, Active Directory Integration, Change Management, and multiple domain email support,” Strahan stressed.

Matthew Gardner, director of product development for BrightBox Solutions, noted that Version 5.0 of Help Desk Premier is the result of extensive customer feedback and consultations.
