Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA profile for the professional footballer Tom Cleverley has been been updated. The PFA player profiles provide a unique and unrivaled insight into a professional footballers career with full career stats, news biographies and features.
Tom Cleverley is a highly-rated young midfielder who has made giant strides towards establishing himself as a regular for both club and country.
The Basingstoke-born youngster rose through Manchester United's youth system to become interim Reserves captain, and was nominated for the prestigious Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year award in 2007/08.
A classy player who always looks to pass forward and move into space, Cleverley also offers an attacking threat that was rewarded with four goals in his second full season at Old Trafford, including one against Newcastle at St James' Park that was a serious contender for Goal of the Season.
Having missed out on a league medal in such agonising fashion in 2011/12, Cleverley was delighted to help the club win a 20th title and pick up his first major honour in the game in May 2013. Along the way he made 22 appearances (32 in all competitions) and became a regular in the England side.
There's no doubt Tom has the ability to play at the very highest level. His challenge now is to maintain those performances and prove to new United manager David Moyes that he's the sort of player who can become a fixture in the heart of the engine room for many years to come.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say, “Tom Cleverley is a fantastic player and we have been working hard to provide the most fantastic resource that is both enjoyable to use and useful. Working with the PFA provides unique biographical information and insights that can be found nowhere else online. We are proud of our partnership with the Professional Footballers Association and the unrivalled access this provides us to the players.”
DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
