Twenty for Twenty Five announces the launch of http://www.20for25.com, a social media website exclusively for the law enforcement community. 20for25.com provides advanced privacy settings, putting users in control of their content.
20for25.com's name comes from common police jargon. 20 means location and 25 means a place to meet.
20for25 is the creation of two current and active peace officers, Frank Saenz and Josh Olson. Olson explained that current social media options did not meet the privacy concerns of today's peace officer. "Law enforcement professionals need a place to network, share training ideas, and socialize in a medium that is safe and secure.”
Any current local, state, or federal law enforcement officer can sign up at http://www.20for25.com. Before their account is active, 20for25 will confirm that users are active peace officers. Saenz explained, "I became concerned about posting on public sites. This way, it's only cops for cops."
In addition to advanced privacy settings and an exclusive community, users have greater control over their content. For example, when a user deletes a post or picture, then that information is deleted. The information is not retained in some hidden database, stored for data mining, or otherwise kept. It is simply deleted. Likewise, a user has great control over who can see their information
“20for25 is still evolving,” Saenz said. “During the coming months we will continue to add new features as we hear from our users. We are dedicated to offering the best law enforcement social media experience possible.”
20for25.com is a partnership solely owned by two current active law enforcement professionals. 20for25.com is an exclusive social media site "for cops by cops."
