After 20 years, Annual Labor Day Weekend Mow Down moves to mid September as lawn rangers converge on the Buckeye State to determine the nation's ultimate turf titans.

After 20 years of racing on Labor Day Weekend, The United States Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA) has moved the annual STA-BIL® Keeps Gas Fresh Finals National Lawn Mower Racing Championships to Saturday, Sept. 14 as part of the the Delaware (Ohio) County Fair.

The traditional "End of Summer Mow Down" will take place two weeks later where Lawn Rangers from across the country will compete in bladeless competition at speeds up to 50mph. National Champions will be crowned in 11 classes, with winners receiving trophies, bragging rights and garden gnomes.

The World’s Fastest Lawn Mower will also be on hand, with owner and driver Bobby Cleveland, the STA-BIL® Engine Answerman™ who set the World Land Speed Record of 96.529 mph at the Bonneville Slat Flats in 2010.

Festivities will also include the annual Induction Ceremony for the USLMRA National Lawn Mower Racing Hall of Fame & Museum of America, when 20-year racing veterans Kevin “Cooter” Penne and Mike “Hedge Hog” Miller will join legends of the lawn including “Turfinator” “Sodzilla” and “Sir Lawns-A-Lot.” The Lawn Mower Racing Hall of Fame and Museum is located at Miller Lawn & Power in Marion, Ohio.
