Arizona's Kids Little Smiles Clinics Deliver Playful Pediatric Dental Experience
Lake Havasu City, AZ (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 -- “Our goal is to make children comfortable from the moment they walk in our doors,” says Kerry Herbine, Chief Operating Officer of Kids Little Smiles. “We do that by providing lots of play opportunities. A playing child is a happy child.”
Kids Little Smiles offers indoor playgrounds at each of its three Arizona locations. The newest one recently opened at the company’s Lake Havasu City dental office and it features soft play pieces that were designed and manufactured by PLAYTIME, LLC.
PLAYTIME is a commercial playground manufacturer and the global provider of unique, interactive, soft play areas and playground equipment for indoor, outdoor and water play. The play area at Kids Little Smiles’ Lake Havasu City clinic features an underwater theme.
Herbine says that the company’s play areas create a strong brand differentiator for Kids Little Smiles. In fact, the indoor play areas actually serve as the clinics’ only marketing outreach. According to Herbine, Kids Little Smiles does not do any traditional marketing. Instead, they let parents hold birthday parties in their play lands. At those events, Kids Little Smiles meets many of its future patients.
“The first thing families see when they walk into the waiting room is our play land,” says Herbine.
Todd Kreinbrink, PLAYTIME’s dental specialist, says that more and more pediatric dental offices are installing playgrounds because they serve several important roles.
“First, of course, play areas make it easier for moms and dads to get their children to the clinic,” says Kreinbrink. “In fact, savvy parents who have seen this trend now often pick a dental care provider based on whether or not they have a play area.”
He adds, “A second function of the play area is to help the front office staff get their work done! When you get children in and out of your office all day long, you need to give them something to do or they can get loud and destructive.”
PLAYTIME’s soft play elements are naturally antibacterial, meaning they shed germs and help to keep healthcare environments clean.
Herbine says the play areas are definitely a useful marketing and management tool for the clinics, but they are also a way that the company gives back to its families.
“Parents love our play areas,” he says. “Often, they stay and linger even after a child’s dental exam is over. It’s just a great place for kids to play and we’re proud to provide that experience to our customers.”
