Datavail, one of the largest providers of remote database administration (DBA) services in North America, announced today that it has appointed Andrew Evans as chief financial officer (CFO), and Kelley Turner as controller. Evans and Turner will oversee and manage the financial details of Datavail’s aggressive growth strategy. According to the 2013 Inc. 5000 list, Datavail is ranked 1,795 out of 5,000 of the fastest growing private companies in America, and has achieved 278 percent growth in the last two years alone.
Evans joins Datavail with more than 15 years of experience in the technology sector, growing companies and managing their finance, legal, human resources and administration functions. His experience includes operations, sales management and product strategy. He previously served as CFO at Symplified, a comprehensive cloud identity solution company.
Turner brings 13 years of experience in financial management and strategic budgeting roles to Datavail. She previously served as the revenue manager for Colorado Satellite Broadcasting, where she oversaw financials for a multimillion dollar video content distribution and licensing division.

Prior to Symplified, Evans served as the associate vice president of NASDAQ OMX, the world’s largest exchange company. He joined NASDAQ OMX after playing an instrumental role in closing the sale of FTEN to the company. Prior to NASDAQ OMX, Evans served as the CFO and senior director of sales and business development for J.D. Power and Associates after successfully managing and closing the sale of Umbria to J.D. Power and Associates, a division of McGraw-Hill.
Evans has also served in senior-level financial roles for InPhase Technologies, Latis Networks, Colorado Microdisplay, Datasonix, USWest and KPMG, where he worked in the London and Sydney offices before moving to the United States. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Birmingham University and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant.
Serving as controller for Datavail, Turner is responsible for business accounting activities. Prior to Colorado Satellite Broadcasting, she worked for MPEG LA as the royalty manager of revenue management and analysis, where she led a team of analysts in the creation of annual revenue forecasts for patent royalties. She also worked for Hunton & Williams and Wachovia Securities, LLC in financial analyst roles, and spent eight years with Capital One serving in various financial roles. Turner earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Wheaton College and an MBA from The College of William and Mary, Mason School of Business.
