In an appeal for information, police have released CCTV images of three men who are suspected of committing arson at an Islamic Centre in Harlow, Essex, reports the BBC in the article 'Harlow Islamic Centre Arson CCTV Released by Police' on August 28. The building suffered limited damage, despite insulation foam being sprayed around doors and windows before the building was set on fire.
According to the BBC, the CCTV image, which sees two men at the centre at 1:24am on Monday 26th August, is believed to show one man holding a drill, with another holding a canister of foam.
Superintendent Trevor Roe told the BBC that:
“It is clear from the CCTV footage this was a premeditated attempt to cause serious damage to the Islamic centre. The three men came equipped to carry out the damage and also take everything they brought with them away again. We urge anyone who is able to identify the men to contact us as soon as possible.”
