For 5th Consecutive Year, Provider of Repurposed Shipping Containers Is Celebrated for Revenue and Employee Growth

'Making the Inc. 5000 list for the fifth year in a row is a credit to our team, our innovative products, and our customers, who also deserve thanks and recognition,' explained Stephen Shang, Falcon Containers CEO.

Falcon Structures, a provider of modified shipping containers and workforce housing solutions, just became a five-time honoree on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies, which is compiled annually by Inc. Magazine. The Austin, Texas-based firm jumped significantly from last year’s ranking of 3,018th to an overall placement of 1,874th for the 2013 award year. Falcon also stood out among manufacturing companies and Austin’s metro area organizations, claiming 47th place and 43rd place in those respective categories.

“Falcon Structures continues to provide durable storage solutions, portable office space, and temporary housing units across a range of industries—including construction, agriculture, retail, restaurant, and government/military projects,” explained Stephen Shang, Falcon Structures CEO. “Every day we’re helping clients create new uses for steel shipping containers, while customizing each one for optimal efficiency and convenience. Making the Inc. 5000 list for the fifth year in a row is a credit to our team, our innovative products, and our customers, who also deserve thanks and recognition.”

At a time when national job growth remains sluggish, the Inc. 5000 distinction is one that carries increasing weight. Collectively, ranking businesses are credited with driving the American economy and spurring much-needed innovation. According to Inc., the 2013 list measures revenue growth from 2009 through 2012. And in order to qualify, companies must be based in the United States, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries of other companies, as of December 2012.

Over the past three years, Falcon Structures has demonstrated 203 percent growth in revenue, while adding 50 new jobs, for a total of 70 employees.
