Ethofy, an innovative provider of Social Sales Enablement solutions, today announced that it has expanded its development and engineering team in Montevideo, Uruguay, and promoted Gonzalo Mendez to Director of Engineering.

The Seattle-based company has added several new developers and engineers in Montevideo, which recently was cited in Fast Company as one of the rapidly growing tech hubs in the Southern Hemisphere.
“When we shifted Kurryer into full production earlier this year, we knew we would need to ramp up our development efforts,” said Ethofy CEO Dan Frumin. “However, with steadily increasing demand from customers such as Microsoft and WatchGuard, we’ve decided to accelerate the process. It’s definitely been a pleasant surprise.”
Mendez has nearly 15 years of experience in product and application development. In addition to leading Ethofy’s development efforts in Montevideo, Mendez will be responsible for other office management activities, Frumin said.

Ethofy deployed the beta version of Kurryer in late 2012 with several customers, including business units at Microsoft, Frumin said. Because the beta version of the product was so well received, the company decided to accelerate the product release.
