In an endeavor to provide an environment to discuss innovative technologies designed for the construction industry, Rocky Mountain ConTech was established on August 16, 2013. Lynn Coffey, owner of ProCon Solutions LLC and Mike Merrill, COO of AboutTime Technologies saw the immediate need to bring a forum for open discussion of new technologies that would benefit the construction industry.
“Construction and technology are not two words often heard together,” stated Lynne Coffey. “However the need has never been greater for the two to combine. In today’s tech-savvy world it is important for a construction business to be aware of the latest innovations in order to stay ahead of their competition.”
According to Mike Merrill, “New technologies can not only help construction with tracking mobile field data, thus decreasing expenses and increasing revenue; it can also be used as a risk management tool. Decreasing construction liability and increasing performance and safety through technology is an integral part of why we formed Rocky Mountain ConTech.”
“Through Rocky Mountain ConTech, we not only want to help bridge technology in the construction industry, but we want to become a venue for continual community development and support,” said Lynn Coffey. “Rocky Mountain ConTech is dedicated to fostering knowledge of construction technologies through education and community involvement.”
