East Dundee, Illinois (PRWEB) September 11, 2013
Horizon Die Company, Inc., a leading supplier of precision metal stampings, progressive dies and automation systems is expanding their East Dundee manufacturing facility. The additional 21,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space will accommodate a 400 Ton Blow punch press and eight additional presses. This effectively doubles Horizon’s current manufacturing floor space.
According to Pete Badovinac, Vice President and Owner, “We feel confident about the economic recovery – particularly in the Automotive and Industrial Electronics markets. Both of these market sectors are key to our growth. Our commitment to additional square footage and the new equipment being housed, means we are aggressively pursuing and preparing for that business expansion.”
The expansion project has been a small boost to local contractors, as many have been involved in the Horizon Die project. Badovinac reports, “Preparation and placement of the 160,000 pound Blow punch press has certainly been a team effort. We brought in local riggers to move and place it. We have utilized our local contractors for concrete, paint, electrical, HVAC work, carpentry and more. We look forward to project completion, which is expected by mid-October. We are excited about this expansion and the additional jobs it will bring to the community.”
