MassEcon has announced that Boston's whole-home energy efficiency leader, Next Step Living™, is a finalist for its 10th annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Award.

This year’s Economic Impact Award finalists have added over 2,400 jobs to the Commonwealth, invested nearly $250 million, and expanded their facilities by more than 1.7 million square feet since January 2012.

WHO:    MassEcon has announced that Next Step Living™ is a finalist for its 10th annual Economic Impact Award.

MassEcon is a non-profit, non-partisan entity that serves as the state’s private sector partner in promoting Massachusetts as the premier choice for business growth.

WHAT:    The 2013 Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards recognize companies that have made an outstanding contribution to the Massachusetts economy.

    MassEcon selected the finalists based on their job growth, community involvement, facility expansion and investment since January 1, 2013. This year’s finalists have added over 2,400 jobs to the Commonwealth, invested nearly $250 million, and expanded their facilities by more than 1.7 million square feet since January 2012.

WHERE:    Finalists for the award represent companies throughout the state of Massachusetts.

Next Step Living is headquartered in Boston’s Innovation District, with an office in New Haven, Conn.

WHEN:    On September 17, 2013, the companies selected as finalists will deliver one-minute presentations describing their growth in the Bay State to a panel of judges and business leaders at the UMass Club in Boston from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Next Step Livings’ CEO and founder, Geoff Chapin, will represent the company at this event.

The winners from each of five regions will then be announced in October and recognized at an awards luncheon on November 26 in Boston.
