Wall Street Technology Association (WSTA) Announces Three New Board Members to its 2013 Board of Directors

The WSTA welcomes Paul Cassell, Chief Information Officer-U.S., NYSE Euronext, Frank LaQuinta, CIO-Wealth Management and Head of Group Technology Americas, UBS, and Suresh G. Nair, Chief Information Officer and co-head of Technology, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Wealth & Investment Management as new Board members.

The Wall Street Technology Association (WSTA) is pleased to introduce three new Board members.

Paul Cassell, Chief Information Officer-U.S., NYSE Euronext
Paul Cassell has served as the U.S. Chief Information Officer and Head of IT Compliance for NYSE Euronext for the past year. He is better known as a Chief Transformational Officer as he has partnered with the business leaders to define the future of their Informational Systems bringing innovation and efficiency.

Paul previously served as the Global Chief Operations Officer for Information Technology for two and one half years and has been with the NYSE organization since 2006. His other previous position at NYSE was Senior Vice President for the Global Quality Assurance division. Prior to his NYSE positions, Paul had been in the Financial Exchange Industry for fifteen years.

Frank LaQuinta, CIO-Wealth Management and Head of Group Technology Americas, UBS
Frank LaQuinta is the CIO of UBS Wealth Management Americas (WMA). He is part of the Global Technology Executive Committee and his primary objective is to achieve “a fully integrated UBS in the Americas” by leveraging existing group functions and digital platforms.

He joined UBS in January 2011, leading Retail Trading and Wealth Planning Solutions for WMA IT playing an integral part in helping shape the WMA IT strategy which he continues to execute today as CIO.

Frank has 25 years of experience as a technologist and entrepreneur. Prior to joining UBS, Frank held several senior leadership positions on the buy side and sell side as well as spearheaded the creation of i-Deal, a company focused on new issue technology, data and analytics and market intelligence, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

Suresh G. Nair, Chief Information Officer and co-head of Technology, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Wealth & Investment Management
Suresh G. Nair is Chief Information Officer and co-head of Technology for Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch Global Wealth & Investment Management business (GWIM). Suresh is responsible for leading architecture, strategy and core technology solutions for all client-facing, business-facing and back-end technology. In addition, he leads the development and implementation of core and emerging technological capabilities across the GWIM computing platform.

Prior to his appointment as co-head of GWIM Technology, Suresh was GWIM’s Chief Architect and head of integration solutions. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he was head of architecture and development for GE FANUC Automation in Charlottesville, VA.
