Offit Kurman Attorney William Erskine Elected To HCEDA Board Of Directors

The Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) Board of Directors has elected William (Bill) Erskine as Chairman and Elaine Brown as Treasurer/Secretary for a two year term.

The Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) Board of Directors has elected William (Bill) Erskine as Chairman and Elaine Brown as Treasurer/Secretary for a two year term.

Erskine, an attorney for Offit Kurman specializing in business and real estate law, was elected to Chairman of the Board from his previous position as Treasurer/Secretary. Brown, CFO of Applied Defense Solutions, will replace Erskine as Treasurer/Secretary, taking her first leadership position on the EDA Board.

Erskine’s succeeds prior Chair Cathy Ward of COPT, who will continue to serve as a Board Member. Chris Myers of Super Book Deals will continue to serve as Vice Chairman of the Board.

“This is an exciting new chapter for the EDA,” said Larry Twele, CEO of the HCEDA. “I know that the breadth of Bill and Elaine’s knowledge and experience will continue to strengthen our board and the impact that we have in the business community.”

All officers’ terms began effective July 1, 2013 and will end June 31, 2015.
