The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Liverpool midfielder since it's launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with Jordan Henderson player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
Jordan Henderson is a young midfielder already receiving full England recognition.
He was brought to Anfield in June 2011 having risen through the youth ranks at Sunderland, a club he joined aged seven.
While operating in the centre for much of his young career, he spent most of his first season at Anfield on the right of midfield. Still, he managed to display his undoubted technical abilities with a sublime assist for Luis Suarez in a Carling Cup win at Stoke and with goals against Bolton and Chelsea. He would also play a key role as we collected a trophy, starting the Carling Cup final win over Cardiff City.
The campaign ended on a high for Henderson as he was called into the England squad for Euro 2012 by new boss Roy Hodgson following an injury to Frank Lampard. He made two substitute appearances as the Three Lions reached the quarter-finals, where they lost on penalties to Italy.
Henderson continues to rotate between senior and U21 England squads and in February 2013 was voted as England U21 Player of the Year for 2012 by supporters following an online vote.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say, “Jordan Henderson really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Liverpool this season and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
“All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for Jordan Henderson.”
DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player Profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk..
