The Tri-County Electric People Fund awarded a grant for $2500 to Eagle Village for the purchase of electronic equipment at their Intervention Center.

The equipment purchased will help avoid safety issues by providing a wall-mounted unit compatible with current technology. This system will be specifically used for youth education, as well as extra-curricular incentives and relaxation therapy. It will aid youth in building discernment for appropriate forms of entertainment.

"We've been very pleased to support Eagle Village over our 20 years of service to mid-Michigan," People Fund board chairman Richard Palermo said. "What the folks at Eagle Village are doing is making a difference for the future by supporting kids in need today.”

In a previous grant year, the People Fund provided Eagle Village with funds for a new industrial-grade stove for the Intervention Center to replace an aged one from the 1970s.

Craig Weidner, Director of Advancement for Eagle Village commented, “Our partnership with the Tri-County Electric People Fund has helped us provide facility and equipment upgrades to ensure youth are safe and able to make the most of their stay at Eagle Village. We are very grateful.”
