I'm reaching out for your help and am asking you to please spread the word to everyone you know. I'm hoping to have enough registered participants for the inaugural event to make the 5k fundraiser a success and return next year bigger and better!

Greg Schnoor of Jump Start Marketing is organizing the Brain Tumor Run for Research 5k at the Plaza De Luna Park in beautiful Downtown Pensacola on Saturday, October 19, 2013. The goal of the event is to raise critically needed funding for brain tumor research and awareness for the Miles For Hope organization.

Greg Schnoor, a brain tumor patient himself, has joined forces with Miles for Hope, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, funding of cutting edge brain tumor research and providing medical travel assistance to qualified patients. Through their work, they intend on finding not only treatments that provide a better quality of life for those suffering with brain tumors, but to find a cure for it.

“With over 120 different types of brain tumors, the increasing amount of stories I hear about others who are affected by the life threatening illness as well as my own personal battle with brain cancer, I have found that running has been a great medication (both physically and mentally) and felt a calling to start the Brain Tumor Run for Research 5k,” says Greg.

The event not only promotes a healthier lifestyle by running or walking the 3.1 mile route, but it will also guide participants through some of Downtown Pensacola's most beautiful sites, including Pensacola Bay, Port of Pensacola, and historic parks like the Veterans Memorial and Seville Square.

Encouraging participation in the event, Greg says, “I'm reaching out for your help and am asking you to please spread the word to everyone you know. I'm hoping to have enough registered participants for the inaugural event to make the 5k fundraiser a success and return next year bigger and better!”

By organizing and bringing such an event for a noble cause to Northwest Florida, Greg encourages others to join the fight against brain tumors by registering and help make a difference in the lives of those affected by the life-threatening illness. The organizers are working hard to make the event a success and invite funding from all corners of the world. All participants who register by the end of September will be guaranteed a symbolic event T-shirt.
