San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 17, 2013
Readers will have an opportunity to meet San Diego author and blogger Lee Fullbright at a Warwick’s Bookstore table signing event for her award-winning literary mystery, "The Angry Woman Suite," on Sunday, September 29th, 2013. Known as "the country’s oldest family owned and operated bookstore," Warwick’s Bookstore is located in La Jolla, CA.
Lee Fullbright’s "The Angry Woman Suite" captured the top prize, the Geisel Award, at this summer’s 19th annual San Diego Book Awards. The Theodor Geisel Award is given to the judges’ pick as "best of the best" of the SDBAA’s 25 categories. "The Angry Woman Suite" also won the SDBAA’s mystery category. Labeled "superb" and "eloquent" by Kirkus Reviews and tagged a Kirkus Critics’ Pick, Fullbright’s "The Angry Woman Suite" has won a Discovery Award for Literary Fiction, and the Readers’ Favorite 2013 International Book Awards Gold Medal for Historical Mystery.
"The Angry Woman Suite," called "harrowing and complex" by the Montreal Books Examiner, centers on a Pennsylvania celebrity murder at the turn of the 20th century and the fallout from those killings on three generations of one very dysfunctional family. Three narrators’ voices intertwine, sometimes decades apart, sometimes together, propelling and revealing twists and turns—and just as often obscuring them. Writes book critic, Norm Goldman, "It is a fascinating labyrinthine plot and I must applaud Fullbright for her keen and magical ability to pull it off with such aplomb."
The September 29th book signing, an informal event with no formal speaking portion, will take place between noon and 2p.m. Warwick’s is located at 7812 Girard Ave., La Jolla, CA 92037.
