Visitors to Dubai, already spoilt for choice when it comes to innovative architecture, will be able to marvel at a host of new attractions in the near future. One of the most imaginative is certainly the Dubai Frame - a new window-like structure set to open in 2014.

Also in the pipeline is the Dubai Eye - set to become the world’s tallest Ferris wheel in 2015 – and the Dubai Safari which will house animals from the currently overcrowded Dubai Zoo. These attractions are expected to raise Dubai’s profile as a popular tourist destination in the UK market even further.

Recent Globehunters figures show a significant increase in Dubai flight bookings from the UK in the first six months of 2013 compared with the same period in 2012. A further increase in demand for Dubai flights is expected as Dubai further cements its reputation as a major tourist destination for UK residents.

The innovative Dubai Frame will be situated in Zabeel Park and will offer panoramic views of some of Dubai’s most notable landmarks. Once inside, visitors will be transported to the top of the frame by electric lifts and will be able to look out across Dubai from a glass bridge and two observation decks. The glass frame will be 150 metres tall and 100 metres wide, and the project as a whole will cover an area of 697 square metres. When completed, it will have cost in the region of £20 million to build.

The Dubai Frame and Dubai Eye are just two of numerous ambitious construction projects currently in progress in the UAE. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai - has given his approval to £326 million’s worth of projects in the emirate. This investment includes work on an improved road network between all regions of the UAE. A new shopping complex, a sustainable fishing market and a large souq are also in the pipeline.

Globehunters provides flights to Dubai in 2014 and throughout the rest of 2013 with a variety of world-renowned airlines including: Virgin Atlantic, Emirates and Qatar Airways.
