Chicago real estate firm @properties announced that it has hired veteran real estate manager and broker Lisa Cokefair, 46, as vice president of brokerage services. Cokefair will be a key figure in the firm’s continuing expansion in Chicago’s northern suburbs, drawing upon her experience in the Libertyville market, where @properties will open an office later this year, according to Thaddeus Wong and Michael Golden, @properties co-founders.
With an office in Libertyville, @properties will grow its Lake County footprint further west, establishing a base to serve surrounding communities, including Mundelein, Long Grove, Vernon Hills, Grayslake, Hawthorn Woods and Gurnee. The firm already has two Lake County offices in the North Shore towns of Highland Park and Lake Forest.
Prior to joining @properties, Cokefair was managing broker of Prudential Rubloff’s Libertyville office. She is the fourth manager from Prudential Rubloff to come to @properties within the last 18 months and the third this year. Cokefair also spent several years as managing broker of Baird & Warner’s Lake County office, and was a top-producing REALTOR before entering management. Altogether, she has more than 18 years of residential real estate experience, including 12 as manager. She is licensed in both Wisconsin and Illinois.
“Lisa has extensive knowledge of the northwest suburbs and a strong reputation for success,” said @properties co-founder Thaddeus Wong. “She has grown every office she has managed, and will do a great job introducing the @properties brand to Libertyville and surrounding towns.”
At @properties, Cokefair will be responsible for overseeing broker training and marketing, and assisting in the day-to-day operations for the Libertyville office.
Libertyville is an affluent marketplace with high-growth potential, according to Golden. The town saw residential sales volume of $371 million for the 12-month period ended August 31, a 44 percent increase from the previous 12 months.
“There's a tremendous opportunity in Libertyville right now, and @properties offers the best resources to leverage the momentum that we’re seeing,” said Cokefair.
@properties entered the north-suburban market in 2009 through Evanston, and quickly established itself as the second largest and fastest-growing brokerage firm in the region. Within 12 months of opening offices in Evanston, Winnetka and Highland Park, @properties was either the No. 1 or No. 2 volume brokerage firm in those towns. Wong and Golden expect similar results in Libertyville.
“We’re already serving several communities in this region. This office will allow us the opportunity further extend our sales and marketing resources to buyers and sellers in these communities and ultimately gain more market share,” said Golden.
A longtime Lake County resident, Cokefair lives with her husband Jon and their three children.
Established in 2000, @properties is the No. 1 Chicago real estate firm by market share, the fastest growing North Shore real estate brokerage firm and the third largest brokerage firm in Northern Illinois. In addition to its Glenview office, the company has offices in Evanston, Winnetka, Lake Forest, Highland Park, River North, Streeterville, Lincoln Park, Bucktown, Uptown, Lakeview, New Buffalo, Mich. and Glenview.
