'Our new VDS provides our customers with increased flexibility and ease of deployment,' says James O’Looney, Director of Integrated C4I Systems.

Trident’s System Inc. announces availability of its new Java-based, IP Video Distribution System (VDS) client/server software product. Based on Trident’s previous analog product currently deployed in briefing and conference centers, this new IP-based product is a software package that uses COTS hardware and Java software for routing, switching, and display components making it the ultimate “video wall” solution.

Trident is bundling this product with its ruggedized Rapid Deployable Display (RDD) and newest TAA compliant Display Processor (DP) as part of the Marine Corps new Combat Operations Center Hardware Modernization Baseline. This unique approach to video distribution has decreased power consumption by 900%, eliminated all video cabling, and brought each workstation into the distribution system.

“Our new VDS provides our customers with increased flexibility and ease of deployment,” says James O’Looney, Director of Integrated C4I Systems. “Whether deploying with our RDD or Display Processor, customers will get the full benefit of our new product.”

Unlimited expandability and flexibility are hallmarks of the new VDS. Whether deploying one system with one display or multiple displays, the software architecture provides customers with virtually unlimited expansion and configuration flexibility.
