New stay-and-play packages for golfers visiting Vietnam's Central Coast makes this booming golf and holiday destination an attractive short-stay option for the autumn/fall season.
Each of the region's three world-class courses has combined with hotels and resorts to showcase golf, luxury accommodation and cultural attractions near the cities of Danang, Hoi An and Hue.
A four-night/five-day stay with rounds at the three Golf Coast Vietnam courses – Montgomerie Links Vietnam, Danang Golf Club and Laguna Lang Co Golf Club – costs $US569 per person when travelling with a group of four. There is a single supplement of $US205 per person and a $US30 supplement per round for golf at weekends.
The package, including transfers, green fees and caddie fees, is available until December 22, and includes accommodation at the 4-star Victoria Hoi An Resort & Spa near the UNESCO World Heritage-listed ancient trading port.

USD395) plus taxes on weekdays and VND10,800,000 (approx. USD508) plus taxes at weekends. The offer is open until December 19.

Danang Golf Club, designed by Greg Norman, rated the top course in Vietnam in 2012, and its adjacent sister property, The Ocean Villas, is offering accommodation in two or three-bedroom pool villas with golf, breakfasts and caddie fees.
The cost for a two-bedroom pool villa, accommodating up to four people, with golf for two players, is VND8,135,000/night (approx. USD382) plus taxes or VND10,475,000/night (approx. USD492) plus taxes for a three-bedroom villa, accommodating up to six people, with golf for three players.
The packages include weekday golf, caddie and green fees, buggy transfers to and from the golf course, breakfasts, welcome drink on arrival and food/beverage and spa discounts. Weekend golf costs an extra VND 630,000 (approx. USD30) plus taxes per person and VND1,395,000 (approx. USD65) plus taxes for additional rounds.
The rates are available until December 23, are non-commissionable and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions.
With international direct flights to Danang from Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Seoul, Siem Reap and major cities in China, the Central Coast experienced foreign tourism growth of 11.4 percent in the first half of 2013. Almost one million foreign nationals are now expected to visit the city, Vietnam's fourth largest, in the full year.
Another contributor to the Central Coast's tourism growth is the cruise industry, which grew by 67pc in first half 2013 to 60,000 passengers on 53 ships.
The Central Coast's courses are regarded as the three best in Vietnam. Montgomerie Links, designed by the eight-times European order of Merit winner, Colin Montgomerie, opened in 2009 and was judged best course in Vietnam in 2011. Its neighbour, Danang Golf Club, designed by Greg Norman, opened in 2012 and became best course in Vietnam in 2012. Laguna Lang Co Golf Club, opened in March, is favourite to be named as Asia's best new course of 2013.
