Luxury vinyl flooring specialist Karndean Designflooring is in the running for a prestigious SBID International Design Award.
The Evesham based company has seen its innovative new Karndean LooseLay shortlisted in the highly sought-after ‘Residential Product’ category.
Launched earlier this year, Karndean LooseLay is a sophisticated alternative to click and laminate flooring, purpose designed for quick and easy installation.
Inspired by natural materials, the stylish collection features seven unique wood tones and four stone designs available in large planks (1050mm x 250mm) and large tiles (610mm x 500mm).
Organised by The Society of British Interior Design (SBID), the awards recognise, reward and celebrate design excellence.
The shortlist is now open to the public vote until 11th October 2013. To vote for Karndean LooseLay, visit: http://internationaldesignexcellenceawards.com/shortlisted/.
“We’re thrilled to be in the running for such a prestigious industry award,” explains Paul Barratt, managing director of Karndean Designflooring.
He said: “Just being shortlisted in this particular category is a real honour and testament to the success of our new Karndean LooseLay.”
“The collection’s large scale planks and tiles combined with the fact that it’s quick and easy to fit, means reduced downtime and reduced installation costs. What’s more, Karndean LooseLay can be installed over most hard floors as long as they’re smooth, sound and dust-free.”
“100% recyclable, it’s the first convenient flooring system that takes into account the importance of style.”
The winners will be announced at the SBID Awards Ceremony on 29th November at The Dorchester Hotel, London.
