Of all the culinary team building programs out there, Recipe For Success (RFS) really sets itself apart. When perspective new clients ask what makes the RFS program so unique, Cooper explains:
“Recipe For Success is a true team building program, not a standard cooking exercise you might find elsewhere. Twenty years of hands-on corporate experience has helped me understand what it takes to get people working effectively together. Combine that knowledge with a passion for all things food and you've got a glorious marriage of team building and culinary delights.”
Cooper spent 20 years in the corporate world understanding what makes people work together effectively. He honed his cooking skills while traveling the world, meeting top chefs and bartering for cooking lessons. Richard has developed the RFS programs to teach effective team work while making sure to maintain a very upbeat and fun atmosphere, so a good time is had by all. Oh, and did we mention the food? Yes, the participants are always amazed at how delicious the food that they make as teams turns out.
One example of this culinary team building mash-up is the RFS program Just Desserts, which is a perfect addition to corporate holiday parties. Groups are divided into teams. Each team comes up with a team name, as well as a unique team cheer or rallying cry.
Teams must create desserts that look every bit as delicious as they taste, which includes one of more mouthwatering treats worthy of a top French patisserie - from scratch. RFS makes the client's job easy by providing all necessary ingredients, utensils and recipes. No slice n’ bake here.
Once complete, all of the tempting creations will be showcased on a Grand Buffet, everyone samples each creation and the judges have the final say. The day’s champions are chosen based on taste and presentation, with points also awarded for the leadership and teamwork that went into each team’s effort.
To underscore a conference or event theme, company goals or corporate vision, RFS can customize additional judging categories. Facilitators will conduct a short debrief, giving teams the opportunity to share their team names and cheers, and discuss what they've learned during working together. No matter the team or the industry, there are always important lessons that groups can implement as a result of this tasty event. How sweet it is.
