German car manufacturer Audi announced today the lineup for the new 2013 Audi cars, including new models and features added to their lineup. The S6, S7, S8 and RS5 models have been redesigned with more power in the engine compartment and an uptick in performance, safety and styling.
The new 2013 Audi cars hold many changes and highlights in store. Some are subtle changes and others are innovations worth noting. The A3, A4, S4 and All-road models -- Audi's workhorses -- have many cosmetic changes.
Like many of the new 2013 Audi cars, the A4 and S4 have had an evolutionary body change. A sloping front and rear end have given a little more power to the contour. To update the A4 and S4, the Audi Connect system, Audi's on-line services, has been added.
Minor changes have been added to the A4's premium packages like redesigning the front and rear bumpers and consigning the wheel valances to the sports model and the S line. The model is available in Metallic blue and metallic red with ten spoke and five column chrome rims. They come with the sporty 225/40 tires at 17 inches and the 245/40 at 18 inches.
The well-received driver select system is out and the driver assist is in all but the most expensive models. Despite the industry's focus on navigation extras, the new 2013 Audi cars have removed the acoustic parking sensors for 2013 except in their high end models. The interior colors have been changed to chestnut brown, gray and beige with ash and oak, with fine-grained inlays and a sportier steering wheel.
The S4 has lost its gypsy red look and added extras like a damping suspension package, a driver's assist package and a Quattro with sports differential. The Quattro makes the car easier to handle at high speeds. As with the A4, the driver select and parking sensors have been removed. A blue crystal look has been added, with a deep red metallic too. The eye-catching pearl silver look is out in the new 2013 Audi cars, as well as the black color. The valance strips around the wheel wells are gone too.
Among the new 2013 Audi cars, the A5/Cabriolet model has added a brand new rendering of the R5 and added and subtracted features from the A5, S5, A5 Cabriolet and S5 Cabriolet. Like the A4 line, the A5's front and rear ends have been crouched down to look more aggressive. The A5 and the A5 Cabriolet have only minor changes in store for 2013. A silver metallic look has been added, and 18 and 19 inch wheels are offered with five paired spokes or ten spoke wheels. The Audi Driver's assist package has been added to many new 2013 Audi cars.
There's a power change in the new 2013 Audi cars. The S5 has seen a major change beneath the hood. The eight-cylinder, 350 horse power engine has been replaced with a six-cylinder 330 horse power engine, and the 19 inch wheels have been replaced by 18 inch wheels.
The most interesting addition to the new 2013 Audi cars, the newly designed RS5, includes a powerful eight cylinder 450 horse engine to power it down the road, making the car capable of close to 180 mph top end speed. This is a wide body car designed to hold the road at high speeds. It has features like a self-cleaning headlight system, speed activated rear spoiler and glass sunroof with roll-back shade.
