Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that three members have been appointed to Practice Department Manager positions.
M. Reid Estes, Jr., a member in the firm’s Nashville office, is responsible for the firm’s Labor & Employment practice area. Mr. Estes has significant class action experience in employment and consumer cases, including numerous FLSA cases involving application of the Executive, Administrative and Outside Sales Exemptions; wage and hour claims under various state laws; and consumer class actions under TILA, FCRA, and FCC Truth in Billing Act. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. He is perennially named a Mid-South Super Lawyer and is listed in Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Estes received his B.S. from Belmont College and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Daniel D. Quick, a member in the firm’s Troy office, is responsible for the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Antitrust & Trade Regulation, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Sports & Entertainment practice areas. Mr. Quick splits his time between commercial litigation matters with an emphasis upon business torts, non-competes, UCC disputes, financial industry litigation and shareholder disputes, and intellectual property and entertainment litigation, which includes representation of artists, labels and broadcasters in copyright claims, commercial disputes and defamation actions. He is Co-Chair, Litigation Section, Intellectual Property Committee for the American Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association (E.D. Michigan) as well as the Oakland County Bar Association. He is also Chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Civil Procedure and Courts Committee and a member of the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court, E.D. Michigan. Mr. Quick is the co-author of Michigan Business Torts and is a frequent author and speaker. Mr. Quick is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyers and is a five-time honoree for pro bono work by the U.S. District Court, E.D. Michigan. Mr. Quick received his B.A. and his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
Stephen E. Richman, a member in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been appointed Practice Department Manager for the firm’s Construction, Real Estate Litigation, Condemnation, Land Use, Professional Liability, and Municipal Law practice areas. He is a past chair of the Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona and is a member of the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry. He is also active in the Arizona Builders Alliance, where he is a member of the Legislative Review Committee and the Legal Advisory Council. Mr. Richman has written several articles and given seminars on such topics as managing construction defect risks, handling construction claims, design build construction, risk-shifting contract clauses, lien laws, legislative amendments, alternative dispute resolution, and insurance/indemnification issues. In addition to handling claims involving all aspects of construction and real estate development, Mr. Richman’s practice includes the drafting and negotiation of construction agreements, both for developers and contractors. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers. Mr. Richman received his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law.
