More than two-thirds of parents live paycheck to paycheck, according to a new survey by CreditDonkey.com, a credit card comparison and financial education website. In comparison, 56.5% of non-parents live paycheck to paycheck. The national survey of more than 1,100 respondents highlights how many Americans are living close to the edge of financial disaster.

"The survey results are alarming, when you realize that more than half of parents do not have even $1,000 stashed away that they can easily access," says Charles Tran, founder of CreditDonkey.com.
