Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 22, 2013
Just over half of Americans saved less than $100 per month in 2012, on average, according to a survey conducted by CreditDonkey.com, a credit card comparison website. While the more than 1,100 respondents strive to improve their savings habits in 2013, at least 1 in 3 predict they will save, on average, less than $100 per month.

"Americans who want to move upward will have a hard time doing so if they can’t find a way to put more aside each month, either because they lack income or savings discipline," says Charles Tran, founder of CreditDonkey.com. "On a positive note, if presented with a sudden windfall, such as winning $500 in the lottery, 65% of the respondents said they will save most of it."
Key Findings:
"Unfortunately, this CreditDonkey.com survey shows, many households continue to live paycheck to paycheck, spending more than they earn, or awfully close," says Tran.
