Provance announced today that Vice President Gord Watts will present a session entitled IT Asset Management and the Cloud at the International Association of IT Asset Manager’s 2013 Fall Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE) in St. Petersburg, Florida, October 15th to 17th, 2013.

“With 16 years’ experience in the IT Asset Management domain and five years of collaboration with Microsoft in the development of IT Asset Management solutions for System Center, Provance is exclusively qualified to share insights about IT Asset Management and the cloud,” says Watts. “As a provider of native IT Asset Management functionality that is built on and runs within the Microsoft Server and Cloud Platform, we possess a unique combination of both deep IT Asset Management expertise and unparalleled experience in software development on the fastest growing platform for virtualization, public cloud and private cloud infrastructure on the planet.”

With hybrid environments as the new norm for modern IT organizations, IT Asset Management (ITAM) has become essential for effectively managing public and private cloud services combined with traditional on-premise infrastructure. While the cloud lessens the IT operational burden, it amplifies the need for the kind of cost control, contract and supplier management, and IT governance that can only be achieved with an effective ITAM program.

The presentation explores how the ITAM function assumes new relevance and importance as more and more organizations of all sizes embrace the cloud to support IT service delivery.

The session will be conducted on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. Attendees of the IAITAM 2013 ACE can register here.

As a provider member of IAITAM, Provance will also be showcasing its ITAM solutions that run natively within the Microsoft Server and Cloud Platform. Provance will be located at Booth #29 at the IAITAM ACE exhibit hall, open between 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th and on Thursday, October 16th, 2013.

The IAITAM ACE is the world’s largest gathering dedicated exclusively to ITAM professionals. The conference provides an educational forum for C-level executives, managers and IT professionals regarding ITAM and its impact on business operations and profitability. The event is hosted by IAITAM, the professional association for individuals and organizations involved in any aspect of ITAM, Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management, and life cycle processes supporting ITAM in organizations of every size and industry across the globe.
