The 1Call Division of AMTELCO is pleased to introduce IS Smart Paging, extending contact-based messaging and paging to phone users. Using IS Smart Paging, a caller can send a message to a physician or staff member by entering the person’s personal numeric ID. IS Smart Paging locates the specified person in the contact directory, obtains their current status, announces the person’s name and status to the caller, and prompts the caller to enter a message to be relayed to the person based on their current status-driven contact preferences. The contact preferences can include sending the message via e-mail, SMS text messaging, paging (TAP, SNPP, and WCTP), faxing, and miSecureMessages, 1Call’s secure, two-way smartphone and tablet messaging app.
Physicians and staff members can update their status at any time, with a variety of methods including a phone interface, Web interface, operator or call center interface, and using their miSecureMessages app on their smartphones. Each individual can also have their own pre-set status schedule that automatically updates their status and contact preferences based on time of day and day of week.
