Lynette Singleton Russell is being honored by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) as a 2013/2014 Professional Woman of the Year for leadership. “I am the vice president of finance and controller for Air Conditioning Contractors of America, which is a nonprofit association that serves more than 60,000 professionals and 4,000 businesses,” says Ms. Singleton Russell. The company's principal products and services include heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or HVAC, as it is more commonly referred to.
Ms. Singleton Russell has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Hampton University and she brings a wealth of experience to her role at Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). As controller, she is ultimately responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s financial records. Ms. Singleton Russell's many responsibilities include budgeting, financial reporting, development of accounting systems and managing the organization’s audit, as well as maintaining internal controls and ACCA’s retirement plans.
