SharePoint Solutions announced today that it has created a self-paced online SharePoint 2010 introductory training course as an inexpensive alternative to live classroom-based training. The new self-paced course is available for a limited time at an introductory price of $199.
Users may complete the course, Introduction to SharePoint Foundation 2010 (Online Self-Paced), at their own pace, and they have access to the course modules for a full 30 days.
“This option focuses on gaining a solid understanding of SharePoint 2010’s basic features and functionality,” said course instructor Robert Schley.
“It’s just as though you were auditing a college course: You will see SharePoint’s features demonstrated by a skilled instructor, but you will not have the course materials, the hands-on lab experience or the assistance of a live instructor.”

Upon finishing all the modules in the self-paced course, students receive a certificate of completion. If they later choose to take the full classroom-based course, they may use their certificate of completion to receive $199 off the purchase price of a live SharePoint Solutions’ two-day Introduction to SharePoint Foundation class or a four-day Introduction to SharePoint Server 2010 class.
