“We encourage the military community, as well as all Americans, to find out more about these amazing men and women,” says Babette Maxwell, Navy spouse and Executive Editor for Military Spouse magazine
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 17, 2013
Military Spouse magazine announces today that voting for the installation winners of the 2013 Armed Forces Insurance's Military Spouse of the Year® will occur on Tuesday, January 22nd. Every American is invited to meet and learn more about the candidates at msoy.militaryspouse.com/voting.
“America’s fighting men and women have endured an incredible burden during this past eleven-plus years our nation has been at war. Simultaneously, the spouses of those deployed have been unsung heroes who maintain the home-front during these all-too-frequent deployments, selflessly give back to their communities though volunteer work, and provide moral support for their loved ones serving both at home and in harm's way,” said Garry L. Parks, Lieutenant General, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret), Chairman of Armed Forces Insurance. “Now is the time to recognize their accomplishments and identify the best of the best, Military Spouse of the Year…from among all branches and at every installation.”
For this year’s award Military Spouse magazine introduced an expansion to the installation echelon. Nominations were aggregated at the base (Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy), district (Coast Guard), and state level (National Guard). An installation level winner will be recognized at each United States military installation that submitted nominations.
Candidates for the 2013 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year® represent more than 150 bases, 37 states (National Guard), and all 9 Coast Guard districts. This first vote will help determine the winner for each of these installations.
Those winners will advance to the next round, where they will compete at the branch level and ultimately for the 2013 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®.
“We encourage the military community, as well as all Americans, to find out more about these amazing men and women,” says Babette Maxwell, Navy spouse and Executive Editor for Military Spouse magazine “We want all Americans to help us select the 2013 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®.”
