Missouri Expands Simplifile E-Recording Service in Howell County, Oregon County, Osage County and Linn County.

We decided to offer e-recording in Linn County because I believe it will be necessary in the future, and we want to take advantage of it now. We hope that as many customers as possible will use this service.

Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service, has made e-recording of digital land documents available in four additional Missouri recording jurisdictions: Howell, Oregon, Osage and Linn counties.

“We decided to offer e-recording in Linn County because I believe it will be necessary in the future, and we want to take advantage of it now,” said Linn County Recorder of Deeds Loretta Brookshier. “We hope that as many customers as possible will use this service.”

With Simplifile’s service, these counties are now enabled to receive electronic documents such as deeds and mortgages from customers who prefer the convenience of sending their documents via the Internet. Customers who submit documents online through Simplifile avoid mail, postage, and courier fees as well as time spent traveling to and from the county or waiting on documents to be recorded.

“Timely recording of deeds is very important in today’s world, Brookshier said. “We are a very small county but as word gets out about e-recording, it will benefit many of our out-of-county customers as they will know immediately if there is problem with the deed or fee and can fix it that day.”

Nearly 40 percent of Missouri’s counties now offer e-recording to customers through Simplifile in addition to more than 900 total e-recording jurisdictions nationwide that make up Simplifle’s network.

“We welcome these four new Missouri counties to Simplifile and are happy to provide a service that not only expedites, but also improves the overall recording process,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “It’s exciting to see the growing demand for e-recording from customers and seeing it become the preferred method for recording public documents today.”

Customers who are new to e-recording can receive free training through Simplifile by calling 800-460-5657 or visiting simplifile.com for more information.
